On August 22-23, Nitro Circus returned to Travis Pastrana’s hometown of Annapolis, Maryland, for the first time since 2017, and it was going to be Travis Pastrana’s last time jumping at a Nitro Circus event. Pastrana is the co-founder of Nitro Circus, the action sports entertainment company.

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for Pastrana. While practicing a double backflip at his house the morning of the show, Pastrana broke his leg (tib-fib). Instead of participating in the festivities, he spent the day in surgery at the hospital.

Rocky Glynn
Ten-year-old Rocky Glynn became the youngest performer to land a backflip during a Nitro Circus show in Maryland, Travis Pastrana’s home event.

Even though Pastrana was not there, the crowd got to see something special. Rocky Glynn, a 10-year-old from Australia whose mentor was fellow countryman Jayden Archer, the first person to land a triple backflip, made history as the youngest Nitro Circus performer to perform a motorcycle backflip during the show.

Also, brothers Ben and Tom Richards performed double backflips in the final jump train, which was a Nitro Circus first.CN
