The women of Team Australia—Taylah McCutcheon, Taylor Thompson, Charli Cannon, Madison Healey and Madi Simpson—won the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup.

The Oceania event, composed of five riders per team, combined each rider’s score throughout a three-moto format. The scores would then be totaled up, with the highest finish being dropped from the count.

Spearheaded by Honda rider Charli Cannon, Team Australia came from behind on day one and still managed to win by just two points over the Americans. Cannon, a three-time Australian National Champion, outright dominated each of her motos and won by no less than 28 seconds. Her consistent victories gave Team Australia the edge to take the overall victory.

Charli Cannon, a three-time Australian National Champion, swept all three motos which helped give Australia the overall win.

“I’m so proud to be part of Team Australia winning the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup for the second year in succession,” said Cannon. “Of course, it was a much tougher event in 2025, but we remained focused on the task at hand.”

Team USA, which consisted of Kyleigh Stallings (Kawasaki, captain), Jamie Astudillo (KTM), Jordan Jarvis (Yamaha), Lachlan Turner (Yamaha) and Mikayla Nielsen (Honda), got out to an early lead on Saturday with all five riders finishing inside the top 10. Turner’s second place and Jarvis’ third pushed the Americans into first on day one. Australia fired back on Sunday while Team USA scored their worst finishes with a pair of 10th-place results in the second and third motos.

In the individual standings, Cannon scored first overall ahead of Jarvis and Turner. CN
