Ty Masterpool To Race Remaining West Coast Supercross

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team announced this morning that Ty Masterpool will make his Supercross debut with the team this weekend for round two of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series in San Diego, California. This news comes after Levi Kitchen opted out of the Anaheim One opener due to illness and left Garrett Marchbanks as the sole rider under the PC tent.
“See you in San Diego, Ty Masterpool,” the team announced via social media. “Masterpool is set to hit the track this weekend, competing in the 250SX Western Regional Championship!”
Masterpool is now set to effectively replace Kitchen on the west coast while Kitchen makes the move to the east. Since Kitchen never actually lined up for a timed qualifying session, his eligibility for the east coast series remains in tact. We thought the team would tap Supercross rookie, Drew Adams, for the fill-in but it looks like they’re keeping him for the east coast as well, or not rushing his SX debut at all.
“It was tough to see Levi so badly wanting to race at Anaheim but being unable to have the strength to do so,” said team manager Iain Southwell. “We had to come together as a team to figure out the best plan of attack for the rest of the supercrosss season, and Ty impressively stepped up to help the team as a whole. We’ve seen his progress over the off-season and think he’s got what it takes to make it his best season yet.”
Via Kawasaki – Lining up for the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross was put on hold for Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen after suffering from an illness that kept him from racing, leaving a void for the team in the 250SX Western Regional Championship. Stepping up to help the team fill out its west coast vacancy will be Ty Masterpool, who will be running his first supercross stint with the team. The off-season has been good for Masterpool, and he’s ready to showcase his talent alongside Marchbanks this weekend at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
