Rancho Cucamonga, CA (January 7, 2025) — 2025 signifies the 19th anniversary of Team Dunlop Elite, one of the most renowned support programs in amateur motocross history. This year, two riders from Team Dunlop Elite have successfully transitioned from the program to big bikes, gearing up for their professional racing debuts as proud alums. Those riders are two-year member Lachlan Turner and one-year member Carson Wood. They will be joining a distinguished group of former Team Dunlop Elite members, which includes notable names like Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia, Aaron Plessinger, Adam Cianciarulo, Chase Sexton, Austin Forkner, Max Vohland, Haiden Deegan, and many others.
This year, Mayla Herrick, Tayce Morgan and Ezra Armbruster will join the Team Dunlop Elite nine rider selection. Herrick is the next top women’s rider, following in the footsteps of Lachlan Turner, Kyleigh Stallings, Mikayla Nielsen, and many other Team Dunlop Elite women alum. Morgan won the YZ bLU cRU SuperFinale during MXoN in front of the world and is a rider other kids can look up to. Armbruster is the master of mini wheels who never gives up. After going 1-1 at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross Championship, Ezra had a mechanical issue at the gate of the third and final Moto. Mechanics were able to get the bike running as the young warrior went to work, finishing second overall. This, plus championships at Ponca and Mini O’s, makes him one to look out for! They will line up with returning Elite team riders: Ryder Ellis, Eidan Steinbrecher, Gavyn Welzien, Beckham Smith, Kade Nightingale, and Cooper Langdon.
Dunlop’s backing of amateur motocross racing is unmatched in the United States. In just 2024, riders selected Dunlop’s Geomax tires to clinch 35 titles at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross National, 84 titles at Mini O’s, 39 at Ponca City, 36 at Mammoth, 41 at Spring-A-Ding-Ding, 40 at Freestone, and another 40 at RCSX. These accomplishments set a winning standard that no other brand can rival.
“It’s incredible to reflect on the success we’ve had with this program over the past 18 years!” said Rob Fox, Amateur Motocross Support Manager. “Having been with Dunlop for over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with numerous Team Dunlop Elite alumni who have progressed to the pro level, which clearly highlights the impact of our program. We’re proud that these riders represent the Dunlop brand exceptionally well, both on the track and beyond. We’re excited about the future as Mayla, Tayce, and Ezra join the Team Dunlop Elite family!”
