Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing and up-and-coming motocrosser Caden Dudney agreed to a multi-year contract. Dudney, from Des Moines, Iowa, will make his debut with the team aboard the team’s YZ250F at this year’s Thor Mini O’s and will compete in next season’s Supercross Futures, Scouting Moto Combine and the Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn’s.
Dudney won five out of six motos at this year’s Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, earning the number-one plate in the 250 B and Schoolboy 2 Championships. He also won the Oakley Award for setting the fastest lap time during the week of racing at Loretta Lynn’s and was named the Amateur Rider of the Year.
Jensen Hendler, the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 250 Team Manager, said, “We’re excited to welcome Caden to our team. He has a bright future and will be a great addition to our program. We’re looking forward to getting to work and preparing for the Mini O’s.”
