Krämer Motorcycles has just released details on their first factory-built nakedbike in the GP2-890 XX. These will be made in a very limited production run, with initial word from Krämer being there will be around 20 units worldwide. They will be priced at an eye-watering $49,995 MSRP in the USA.
Based on the exceptional GP2-890 RR that we raced and tested here, the 890 XX utilizes a heavily breathed upon KTM 890 Duke motor that produces a claimed 138 hp, and the entire package will weight 308 lb ready to race with gas.
The bodywork is all carbon fiber (tail, airbox cover, bellypan, number plates, and air scoops), and the BST wheels are carbon fiber as well. It has a different dash than the RR (ECU Master) and a new “GP Style” exhaust can, that will produce an even louder boom—so noise limit days at Laguna Seca will most certainly be out.
Suspension comes in the form of WP Apex Pro 7543, closed-cartridge, fully adjustable, split function damping forks with a Krämer shim stack, WP Apex Pro 7746, fully adjustable, high- and low-speed compression, remote preload, ride-height adjustable with progressive linkage shock, and braking is carried out by dual 290mm full-floating discs, radially mounted Brembo Stylema monobloc four-piston calipers and a Brembo radial master-cylinder. Electronics come in the form of a WorldSSP-spec Mectronic ECU that offers all manner of adjustments like tr5action, wheelie, and launch control plus data logging.
This will also be the first Krämer to come the factory customization option. Buyers can pick their own frame color (so long as it’s on the RAL color wheel), and they can do custom graphic applications on the bodywork and number plates.
“When we looked around the paddocks we were going to, we noticed that a little over 10% of the motorcycles on track were large-displacement naked models, which is an interesting trend developing in the industry,” explained Jensen Beeler, CEO of Krämer Motorcycles USA.
“Until now, no manufacturer has produced a hypernaked that is focused solely for the race track, even though the demographics are skewing more into this category with each passing year. The Krämer GP2-890 XX aims to give these track riders a more purpose-built motorcycle for this segment of circuit riding, in the same way our other motorcycles have done in their model segments.”
Arriving at Krämer dealers in Spring 2025, the Krämer GP2-890 XX is priced at $49,995 in the United States and €50,000 (includes 19% VAT) in European markets.
Due to the limited production size, interested customers are encouraged to reserve their purchase immediately.
