It’s fair to say the Ducati Panigale Streetfighter V2 hasn’t quite had the impact Ducati was expecting, as the public’s attention was repeatedly drawn to the big daddy in the Streetfighter V4 S.
The smaller Streetfighter came out back in 2022, and despite the fact we’ve hardly seen any on the roads, it’s still a brilliant nakedbike, it’s just that it probably hit the market at the wrong time when the hyper-naked mania was in full swing.
That may be changed for 2025 because hot on the heels of the new Panigale V2’s release comes the naked version in the 2025 Streetfighter V2. It is, for all intents and purposes, just a naked version of the Panigale V2 and will come in base and S versions, just like the sportbike.
And like the sportbike, weight saving is the name of the game. Ducati has lopped off an impressive 40 lb from the previous SF V2, giving a dry weight of 392 lb, which puts it firmly against bikes like the Yamaha MT-09 and KTM’s 990 Duke range.
The two V2s will share the new non-Desmodromic, variable valve timing 90° V-twin, pumping out 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 69 lb-ft of torque at 8,250 rpm. The same monocoque frame is shared, as are the electronics in the six-axis IMU that features cornering ABS with slide-by-brake, Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati’s Quick Shift 2.0.
They share the same Brembo M50 brakes but the base model will come with fully-adjustable 43 mm Show Big Piston Forks and a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock, while the SF V2 S will get a 43mm Ohlins NIX-30 fork and Ohlins shock. The V2 S will also weigh a little less than the base model at a claimed 386 lb thanks to the use of lithium-ion battery.
Riding modes come in Race, Sport and Wet and you’ll be able to see it all via the new five-inch TFT display.
The 2025 Panigale Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V2 S will cost you $14,995 MSRP and $17,995 MSRP, respectively and be on sale in Q2 of 2025.
