Honda rider Joey Savatgy edged out teammate Dean Wilson by two points to win the Australian Supercross Championship round in Adelaide, Australia, on November 16.
Over the course of the evening, which included multiple points-paying motos, Savatgy accumulated 87 points to Wilson’s 85.
Yamaha rider Jed Beaton was the next-best finisher with 75 points, allowing the home-country favorite to join Savatgy and Wilson on the podium.
Kawasaki rider Luke Clout (70) and Honda pilot Aaron Tanti (65) rounded out the top five overall.
Despite one hiccup, Honda rider Shane McElrath dominated the SX2 (250cc) class. He was seven points clear of runner-up Brodie Connolly (Honda) and third-place Alex Larwood (Honda).
With one round to go, Savatgy leads Wilson in the championship standings by eight points, 97-89. Clout is third with 80 points, followed by Beaton with 70 and Tanti with 84.
McElrath leads Connolly by 10 points and third-placed Cole Thompson by 14. CN
