The Isle of Man TT Races are pleased to announce the return of the Classic TT, set to ignite a sense of nostalgia all around the famous TT Mountain Course in August 2025. Taking inspiration from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, the Classic TT promises to be a celebration of motorcycle racing heritage, paying homage to the legendary riders and iconic machines that shaped these golden eras of TT racing.

First staged between 2013 and 2019, the much-loved Classic TT was the world’s foremost classic motorcycle race attracting the best teams, the most exotic machinery and the fastest modern day TT competitors. Legends such as John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop, Bruce Anstey and Michael Rutter are just some of the riders to have enjoyed success at the Classic TT.
With races for 1990s Superbikes, two stroke Grand Prix machines and historic racing bikes from the 1960s and 70s, fans of the Classic TT can look forward to a spectacular event designed to evoke fond memories of the great riders and machines that left an indelible mark on TT history and who ruled the Mountain Course during these periods.
Qualifying for the Classic TT will get underway from Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with a five race schedule set to take place over Wednesday, August 27 and Friday, August 29.
Racing for the Classic TT will start with a bang on the opening day with three races scheduled starting with the Formula 1 TT, followed by the Lightweight TT and then the Historic Junior TT.
Friday the 29th of August, will open with the prestigious Historic Senior TT, with a second Superbike outing—the Senior Classic TT—bringing the curtain down on the high speed Mountain Course action.
The race program will be supported by a range of nostalgic events and 2-wheeled attractions away from the course, providing race fans with what promises to be an unforgettable week of entertainment.
