Dee Wood Scored the Win Ahead of Traci Fleming and Kelly Yancey

In this week’s Throwback Thursday, we zoom back to May of 1997 and arrive at the AMA /U.S. Women’s Motocross League round at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. On that race weekend it was Dee Wood (Answer jersey) emerging victorious aboard her Kawasaki. Finishing second was Honda mounted Traci Fleming (in blue) while Kelly Yancey (right) rounded out the podium finishers on her Kawasaki. Suzuki factory racer Mickael Pichon (left) presented the women their plaques. Fleming would go on to win the championship that season.
