Ducati DesertX Discovery debuts as 2025 model
Rennie Scaysbrook | June 27, 2024
Ducati has taken the wraps off the latest model to wear the DesertX badge in the new Discovery.
Marked as a 2025 model and coming in at $19,995 MSRP, the Discovery will set you back $2000 over the base DesertX but you’ll get a few add-ons for the money.
You’ll get some fancy new colors in the Black/Ducati Red livery, reinforced hand guards and engine guards that helps protect the water pump, radiator, and engine oil sump. The Discovery will also come standard with heated hand grips, a larger touring windshield and a center stand—a must have for big off-road bikes when removing the rear wheel.
What hasn’t changed is the powerplant, which is still the 937cc liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° desmo L-twin that produces 110 hp at 9250 rpm and torque of 68 ft-lb at 6500 rpm.
The chassis remains the same as the base model DesertX with a tubular steel frame, fully adjustable KYB suspension and off-road specific 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels laced with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber.
The 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery is expected to arrive to dealers in Fall of 2024.
