Former AMA Superbike Champ Beat Doug Henry and Jeff Ward
In this week’s Throwback we dial back the time machine 21 years to November of 2003 and land at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for the Red Bull Supermoto-A-Go-Go. That night Honda Superbike rider Ben Bostrom turned in a master-class performance taking the winner-take-all victory over Doug Henry and Jeff Ward in front of a big crowd and national TV audience watching the race live on the Outdoor Life Network. In the final Bostrom worked his way up through the field on his Honda to take the lead halfway through the race and then held off strong challenges by Henry to take the victory by 1.2 seconds. Bostrom topped an incredible field of riders that in addition to Henry and Ward, featured riders like Kurt Nicoll, Jurgen Kunzel, Jeremy McGrath, Larry Pegram, Joe Kopp, Jake Johnson, Chris Fillmore and many more.
