Davey Todd’s incredible lap of the Isle of Man TT

The Isle of Man TT is the oldest motorcycle race in the world but it’s never been seen like this. Shot via an Insta360 GO3 camera, the review you can read here, TT star Davey Todd takes you for a flying lap where the sheer brutality of wrestling a 240hp Superbike around the most famous racetrack in the world is on full display.
Todd had the camera mounted on the padding on the inside of his Arai helmet, and the view that has been returned to the viewer is absolutely stunning.
Todd has the BMW M 1000 RR at full noise from the second he rolls out of pit lane, down the daunting Bray Hill and up over Ago’s Leap. From there the Englishman charges through sections like the terrifying Ballagarey Corner, dodges the walls that are inches away from his shoulders through Kirk Michael, and rides the BMW like a Dakar bike by standing on the pegs as he negotiates the ultra-bumpy Ginger Hall to Ramsay section. And through it all, you can eve see Todd’s unbreakable concentration with his left eye just on the right side of the screen barely blinking over the lap.
On board cameras are getting smaller and smaller and the TT has leaped ahead of even MotoGP in this regard, which is still to allow the use of cameras in helmets at racing speeds.
