Mark Fineis made his debut and was the highest-finishing rider on the Club MX Yamaha team with 14-11 finishes. Speaking of Club MX, Jett Reynolds returned to action at Pala. A pair of 16’s gave him 16th overall. Joey Savatgy made his debut with the Triumph Factory Team. He’s never raced at Fox and hasn’t been in the 250 class since 2019. Note the Steg Pegs and the front seat bump. Savatgy looked fast all day with a fifth in moto one. Jason Anderson is running an oversized carbon tank on his KX450. A crash in moto one mangled Anderson’s bike but he bounced back for fourth in race two. The soft soil on the lower portion of the track made some deep ruts on the jump faces.
