Twenty-five-time Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop will pad out his racing season with a stint with the TRT27 Honda outfit in the Superstock class of the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship.
Dunlop has already competed in the EWC during the years of the Honda TT Legends team over a decade ago, and will team up with Britons Ben Luxton, Tom Oliver and Tom Ward.
“We have the honor of having an absolute TT legend with us,” says TRT27 team boss Eric Tanesie, delighted about the signing of Dunlop, who will draw media attention to his team. “He has already driven for the Honda TT Legends team in the Endurance World Championship and has great ambitions to be successful in the 24-hour race at Le Mans.”
Dunlop will also return to the Isle of Man TT at which he will attempt to equal his legendary uncle, Joey, on 26 TT victories. A 27th win would see him become the most successful rider in the history of the world’s oldest competition.CN
