Welcome to Indianapolis as round 10 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series kicks off inside Lucas Oil Stadium. We’ll see a Triple Crown format tonight which will feature three exciting main events for each class. The track is soft and rutted but will certainly make for some great racing.
At the end of three mains, Jett Lawrence swept the 450 class while Cameron Mcadoo won the overall in the 250’s.
450 Main 1
Race one was all Jett Lawrence as he took his first-ever 450 triple crown race win. After a clutch start, he moved his way to second on the opening lap and stalked Ken Roczen in the early stages. Lawrence passed for the lead just after the finish when Roczen left the door wide open and allowed the Honda rider to slide through. Jett went on to win by three-plus seconds on last year’s Indianapolis winner.
Chase Sexton battled his way to third after fighting it out with Cooper Webb and Jason Anderson. Webb crashed with a lapper which dropped him from third to eighth. This put Sexton up a spot and into podium territory.
450 race 2
The second 450 race saw another close battle between Jett Lawrence and Ken Roczen. Roczen made his way around Lawrence for the lead on lap one which set the tone for the coming laps. Jett re-passed with 6:30 left on the clock while Roczen simultaneously bobbled in the whoops. This mistake sealed the deal as the duo goes 1-1 and 2-2 into the final race.
Chase Sexton once again battled to third after starting outside the top five. He moved his way around Plessinger, Webb, and Anderson to notch another podium finish before the third main. He’s 3-3 on the night.
450 Race 3
Another Roczen Lawrence battle ensued in the final race of the night. Roczen held the early lead with Lawrence and Sexton all closely in tow. Lawrence didn’t need to win the race to win the overall, but once Sexton began applying the pressure, he knew it was go time.
Lawrence passed for the lead with five laps to go and swept all three races of the Triple Crown. This is his third win in a row as he continues to grow his championship points lead
Chase Sexton rallied to second after battling with Roczen for the majority of the moto. He looked better with each race and improved his result with a second place. His 3-3-2 gives him third on the night.
Roczen stayed close until the end but ultimately crossed in third. After three battle-filled main events, Roczen’s 2-2-3 earned him second overall.

250 Main One
Cameron Mcadoo claimed the opening win of the night in the first 250SX race. A strong start put him up front early as he hunted down early leader Daxton Bennick. Mcadoo held the lead despite efforts from Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan and starts the night with a dub.
Haiden Deegan landed second in race one. The Yamaha youngster rode most of the race in third before a crash from Vialle bumped him up a spot. This is a strong start to the night after a rough race last weekend.
Seth Hammaker found himself third in race one. The Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider worked his way through the pack to grab the final spot late in the race.
250 Race 2
Haiden Deegan controlled all of race two. He took over the lead on lap two and never looked back en route to an eight second win. He’s now tied with Cameron Mcadoo heading into the final race of the night.
Cameron Mcadoo traded spots with Deegan between race one and two. Mcadoo ran third but was gifted second after his teammate Hammaker hit the deck in the rhythm section. It’s a winner take all scenario going into the final race of the night.
Tom Vialle rounded out the podium in third. He battled for the final spot and moved onto the last spot on the box once Jalek Swoll went off-track. He improves one spot from his race one result.
250 Race 3
The final race of the night kicked off with a huge crash in the first turn which collected Haiden Deegan and Seth Hammaker. This allowed Tom Vialle to jump out with the early lead while keeping his competitors behind him. Vialle led every lap of the main with his 4-3-1 scores giving him second overall.
Cameron Mcadoo rode a smart race to take third in the main but first overall. With his main rivals behind him, he cruised it in with a mindful ride knowing Vialle’s win wouldn’t be enough for the overall. This is Mcadoo’s first win of the season and bumps him into the championship points lead.
Haiden Deegan rallied back to sixth after hitting the deck in the first turn. His 2-1-6 finishes gave him the final podium spot with third overall. This is still a bounce-back ride for Deegan who now sits fourth in the series points.

Qualifying
450SX
Times are so close that the top nine riders were all on the same second! Jett Lawrence is once again the fastest qualifier as he grabbed the best time late in the second qualifier. Despite the track being rutted and rough, Lawrence logged a fast lap and jumped to the top of the board. Eli Tomac looked fast in both sessions and landed second just ahead of teammate Cooper Webb.

Max Anstie is out for revenge after a mechanical DNF last weekend. He lost the red plate in the process but bounced back with the fastest qualifying time in the first session. Tom Vialle is on a roll with back-to-back wins as he matched Anstie’s time in the second timed qualifier. Pierce Brown was third and the only other rider on the 49-second mark.
