“I have been using Leatt protective products for many years but I am happy the time has come to partner with the team head-to-toe,” Birch said. “I look forward to my time in the Leatt family, being involved in exciting projects and working closely with the product developers of the future products.”
Chris Birch has had a life-long love for motorcycles. His passion has led him to win eight New Zealand National Enduro Championships, he is a three-time winner of the Roof of Africa, and he has stood on the podium at Red Bull Romaniacs several times—including the top box in 2010. As many riders are currently in the Arabian desert, it’s fitting to mention that Chris is New Zealand’s most successful Dakar Rally competitor. Today, Chris runs a very successful riding school, Say No To Slow. Aside from online masterclasses, he hosts clinics all over the world helping riders refine their skills and feel confident about riding.
Leatt released news about its brand-new adventure range during EICMA 2023. While Leatt is known for its off-road products, all Leatt adventure apparel is Class AA rated, making them also suitable for riders who prefer tarmac to dirt. The South African brand assures, however, that the product is still adventure-seeking at heart, designed to meet the demands of the most adventurous gravel-seeking rider.
“Straightaway, I feel at home in the Leatt adventure gear,” Birch adds. “It is strong, safe and comfortable. Living in New Zealand, we need gear that can adapt—and this multi-functional gear inspires confidence to go ride when you don’t quite know what is out there or what might happen.”
