Red Bull KTM Red Bull KTM Factory Racing started the week off with an “A1 Preview” as they lit up their test track at RD Field. Most of the buzz surrounded defending Supercross champ Chase Sexton as this was the first time we’ve seen him aboard his new KTM 450 SX-F. Aaron Plessinger also returns to the team in the 450 division with Julien Beaumer and Tom Vialle racing the 250 class. Beaumer is a Supercross rookie who’s set for West Coast SX while Vialle will stick to the East in his second year in America. Word on the street is this is a new Factory Edition which will be releasing in early ’24. Aaron Plessinger returns to the team in the 450 class. Honda HRC Next on the docket was Team Honda HRC. Obviously Jett Lawrence is their golden child after a perfect summer and the inaugural SuperMotocross championship, but now brother Hunter Lawrence jumps up to the 450 ranks for ’24. Technically they’ll both be Supercross rookies as neither rider raced indoor “Supercross” during the 2023 season. Jo Shimoda is back with the team after racing for the former Geico Honda outfit and is joined by Chance Hymas who returns after sustaining a knee injury during the Pro Motocross Championship. Here’s the shot everyone wants to see – new team graphics for Honda HRC. 2024 also marks Hunter Lawrence’s debut season on the CRF450R. Chase Sexton ended Honda’s 20-year championship hiatus but will not return to the team this year. Dylan Ferrandis is now riding for the Phoenix Honda team. Rockstar Husqvarna The Rockstar Husqvarna Factory Racing Team returns for 2024 with a new two-year deal with title sponsor, Rockstar Energy. Malcolm Stewart, Christian Craig, and RJ Hampshire all return to the team in the 450 class with Casey Cochran and Guillem Farres making their 250SX debuts in the East Coast. Christian Craig is back with the Husky team for ’24. This is the second and final year on his current contract. RJ Hampshire is a staple with the team and re-upped for another two years. Rockstar also extended their support with the team for another two years. Casey Cochran is set to go pro in 2024 on East Coast Supercross.
