BMW Motorrad recently celebrated its 100-year anniversary, and they did so by hosting the first-ever BMW Motorrad Days Americas. They invited the motorcycle press, including Cycle News, as well as celebrities, dignitaries and top dealers. Executives from BMW headquarters in both the U.S. and Germany also flew in for the event.

Motorrad Days are nothing new to BMW; they’ve been hosting what is basically their homecoming event in Germany for more than 20 years. That event draws tens of thousands of riders from all over Europe, and the world, for that matter, but the U.S. is one of BMW’s largest markets, and because of that, they chose Motorrad Days Americas for the very first public viewing of the all-new, highly anticipated 2024 R 1300 GS.
Everyone in attendance, customers included, had a chance to take a close look at this beautiful new bike—and even ask questions and have them answered by the lead engineer for the GS product line. In addition, there was a complete display of all of BMW’s current lineup, along with several historic models from the past and some of their legendary race bikes. Afterward, VIP guests and media were invited to dinner and entertainment in the magnificent Barber Motorsports Museum, where BMW reserved the entire venue.
