2024 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE and Triumph Scrambler 1200 X Specs and Price

The 2024 model year will see Triumph debut two reworked Scrambler 1200s. Gone is the 1200 XC, replaced by the newly devised 1200 X model, itself a lower priced/lower spec machine compared to the premium XE.
2024 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE
Both bikes are powered by the 1200 parallel-twin with its single overhead camshaft and 270-degree crankshaft, Triumph claims 89 hp at 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 81 lb-ft at 4250 rpm. The motor is fed by a new single 50mm throttle body and revised exhaust headers for better exhaust flow.
Both machines run a ride-by-wire throttle with Sport, Road, Rain, Off-Road, and Rider Configurable modes. The XE also gets an additional Off-Road Pro mode.
Interestingly, Triumph has divorced Ohlins as the suspension partner for the Scramblers and have instead moved to Marzocchi. The 1200 X gets a road-biased 45mm inverted fork and preload-adjustable twin rear shocks for 6.7 inches of ground clearance at both ends.
As for the 1200 XE, it gets 9.8 inches of travel via fully adjustable units.
The brakes have some big differences with the XE using twin Brembo Stylema radial monoblock four-piston front calipers biting on 320mm floating discs. The X takes things down a bit by using lower spec four-piston calipers biting on 310 mm discs.
The rear is a single-piston rear caliper clamping a 255 mm disc on both bikes.
The Scrambler 1200 X will start from $13,595 USD and $14,795 CAD. The Scrambler 1200 XE will start from $15,295 USD and $16,595 CAD. Orders can be placed now at Triumph dealers, with bikes arriving for retail from February 2024.
