The Roof of Africa hard enduro is scheduled for November 29-December 2, and while the 2023 round is not currently part of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (HEWC), WESS (promoters of HEWC) is in talks with the Roof of Africa promoter to see if it could be included as a round.

Wels, Austria (June 19, 2023) – WESS GmbH, promoters of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, is pleased to announce that they have held positive preliminary talks with the new promoter of the iconic Roof of Africa event, with a view to including the RoA in the 2024 HEWC series.
Provisionally planned as a round of the 2023 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, due to issues outside of the control of WESS GmbH, the Roof of Africa did not feature in the 2023 championship.
Now, with a new promoter in place and the 2023 event set to run from November 29 through December 2, WESS GmbH is committed to continuing and developing talks with Ross Whitehead / Pro Touch Global Za with the clear objective of building a positive working relationship, which could potentially see the Roof of Africa included as a round of the HEWC series in 2024.
