The following is a press release from Nitro Circus…
Los Angeles, CA (June 1, 2023) – The limit pushers of Nitro Circus are preparing to return to the road with an all-new tour this fall, and what better place to gear up than during the most exciting week in off-road racing. The global action sports authorities will bring the craziest show in live entertainment to MidAmerica Outdoors in Jay, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 17th, as part of Visions Off-Road 2023, a six-day festival of rough-and-ready competition and full-throttle excitement.
Since 2003, Nitro Circus has stunned fans across the globe with a kinetic mix of boundary-breaking world firsts alongside, jaw-dropping stunts and outrageous comedic moments. Created by legendary ringleader Travis Pastrana, Nitro Circus has showcased a collection of action sports’ best athletes, its brightest stars, and biggest personalities in packed venues worldwide. Now these thrill-loving daredevils will bring their incandescent live show to MidAmerica Outdoors for the epic finale of Visions Off-Road 2023, the biggest and best Visions yet!
Festival passes – and now single-day tickets as well – are available at Visionsoffroad.com.
An elite athlete roster is primed to throw down, led by decorated freestyle motocross (FMX) stars Jackson “Jacko” Strong, Adam Jones, Jarryd McNeil, and Taka Higashino, who between them have more than 40 X Games medals combined. In addition, Gregg Duffy, a Nitro World Games winner and the first FMX athlete to land the incredibly sketchy double front flip, will hit the ramp as well.
Joining them are WCMX pioneer Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham, an inspirational athlete who does not let the challenges of spina bifida define him. Wheelz competed in NBC’s “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” last year and ultimately advanced to the national final. He also opened the 2016 Paralympics with an explosive mega ramp jump that went viral worldwide.
Top BMX riders Andy Buckworth and Pat Casey, skateboarding pro Beaver Fleming, fearless contraptions king Dusty Wygle and more are also set to drop in.
For Visions’ action-packed finale, the Nitro crew will send it attempting record-breaking tricks. The production will include Nitro Circus’ infamous 50-foot Giganta ramp alongside the next generation of FMX kickers and landers. These innovative setups will give athletes the tools to take action sports to new heights. Nitro’s daredevils will also push the boundaries of sanity jumping a host of crazy contraptions.
Thrill-loving fans have even more high adrenaline excitement to look forward to at Visions Off-Road 2023. In addition to the Nitro Circus show, Travis Pastrana’s disruptive new four-wheel motorsport property, Nitrocross, will launch its 2023-24 season – and debut MAO’s massive new track, designed by Travis – on Thursday, June 16th and Friday, June 17th. Moto enthusiasts can check out the Nitro Circus MidAmerica Mayhem Pit Bike Championship on Friday, June 17th as well.
Visions will also have the biggest off-road racing in motorsport, including the new MAO Racing Truck Championship – with the Pro Lite class and a payout over $100,000 – plus Ultra4 USA – an exciting all-terrain race series featuring the most brutal courses their custom-built extreme machines can handle – and MAO Racing short course.
On top of all that, fans can also enjoy live music and entertainment each day, which will provide all kinds of fun and adventure for the whole family. Stay for the full week: full RV hookup camping passes are now sold out but passes for resort side dry-camping are still available.
After closing out Visions Off-Road 2023 in style, Nitro Circus will bring the party back to indoor arenas this fall with the all-new 20th Anniversary Tour presented by PublicSq, kicking off October 10.
