For the first time, Aerostich is offering made-to-measure, custom tailoring for its signature R-3 (Roadcrafter 3) one-piece riding suits.
Made for wearing over street clothes, the all-weather, abrasion-resistant, armored riding suit has a TLTex fabric chassis with TF armor. It has multiple vents, nine pockets, and the front main zipper extends from the pant cuff to the collar for easy entry. Thirty body measurements are used to create the custom R-3 suit that is handmade in America by Aerostich.

The process:
- Share your measurements here or download the PDF form and send it to us (service@aerostich.com or snail mail).
- Our fitting and sizing experts will evaluate your measurements to determine whether a standard size (with or without available alterations) or a fully made-to-measure suit is your best “fit.”
- If a made-to-measure suit is best for you, we will send a link to download the measurement app to get even more detailed measurements.
Thirty body measurements are used to create a pattern, and your R-3 suit is then uniquely tailored to perfectly fit your shape and form. The process is similar to how fully custom-made road race leathers are fitted (though not quite as tightly).
Stock off-the-rack suits are still available in over sixty standard graded sizes from stock, and alterations to these suits are still available, but the Made-To-Measure R-3 takes fit to another level and delivers an amazing, precise fit specifically for you. This is an investment piece of gear. In typical usage, one of these suits will likely last for more than ten years and over 100,000 road miles, and if damaged in a crash they are usually repairable. Comprehensive refurbishment and maintenance services are always available. For many riders, their R-3 outlasts their bike. If you ride a lot (or a little) you’ll enjoy the difference every time you put it on.
