The Enduristan line of soft bags and motorcycle luggage are lightweight and waterproof. The large tail pack was brought to market at the request of customers, who have grown to love their smaller tail packs, which are used primarily for rally and enduro racing.

As with all Enduristan products, the large tail pack features the brand’s signature red interior to make finding things inside the bag easy. It can be attached to virtually any rear rack or pillion seat by using the four provided metal hooks. There is also a handy elastic netting on top of the bag where you can store a wet rain jacket or footwear. Additional mesh storage compartments line the inner and outer sides of the top, and there’s a foldaway divider to keep your things organized inside the large interior of the tail pack.

Rider Analysis | Enduristan Large Tail Pack
I’ve started using soft luggage full time on all my personal bikes because I inevitably end up off-road and soft bags are simply much safer than hard panniers when you fall off and the bike lands on your leg.
My initial impression of the Enduristan was noting the high quality of the stitching and the sturdiness of the bag itself. The metal attachment hooks, however, were too small to fit around the tubes on my rear rack. Based on the kind of riding that I do, I don’t like to use hooks. I’m sure they work great for most applications, but I would rather have an actual strap looped around the rack so that when I’m riding rough trails, I know the bag isn’t going anywhere.
The hooks on the Enduristan bag are built in and unremovable, so I took a razor and gently cut the threads at the end of the straps so that I could open them up and slip them off. At some point, I may go ahead and cut the remaining material off, but for now, I kept them long, rolled them up, and I used some Velcro ties that I had on hand to secure the excess. The bag is now secure and does not bounce around at all. It would be nice if Enduristan included Velcro ties at the end of the straps like some of the other brands do, but I’m sure it would add to the cost, and I feel like you’re already getting a lot for your money with this product.
I love the bright red interior and that the bag is waterproof. The zippers pull easily thanks to the nice paracord loops that have reflectivity built in. The large E logo on the back is also reflective and really stands out. My camera equipment fits perfectly, and there’s still room for an extra pair of gloves, sunglasses, and other small items. My flip-flops fit nicely under the elastic strap on top of the bag, which is perfect for when I pull into camp and want to quickly get into comfortable footwear.
All in all, my first experience with Enduristan products is a positive one and, now that I’ve been using the bag, I’m really enjoying how well it works for quickly accessing my camera gear, doing my photos, and getting back on the road. And it’s waterproof, so when the rain starts falling, I just keep on riding without worrying about my gear. Enduristan makes all kinds of soft, waterproof bags and luggage, but their large tail pack has proven to be the perfect complement to my existing setup, and I foresee it getting plenty of use over the next several years.
