Haiden “Danger Boy” Deegan joins POD Active’s elite roster of athletes.
This is a press release from POD Active…
POD Active, a leader in motocross and action sports knee protection, is thrilled to announce the addition of Haiden “Danger Boy” Deegan to its athlete roster. As one of the most popular and hyped racers to turn pro in years, Haiden Deegan leads a talented list of Gen Z racers transitioning from the amateur to professional ranks. Deegan joins Adam Cianciarulo, Trystan Hart, Skyler Howes, Daniel Sanders, Ben Kelley, Taddy Blazusiak, Mario Roman and others as the latest athlete representative of POD.
Haiden Deegan made his professional debut this year at the opening round of the Eastern Region 250 Supercross Series in Houston, Texas, where he finished an impressive fourth place. Deegan then backed that up with a heat race win and another fourth-place finish at the second round of the series in Tampa, Florida, and now sits third in the points standings.
The Deegan family name is a well-known entity in motocross and action sports circles, not just because of the popularity of Haiden. Father Brian Deegan is a freestyle motocross legend, action sports icon, professional race driver, and founding member of the Metal Mulisha. Likewise, Hailie Deegan has become a standout in her own right as the driver of the #13 ThorSport Racing Ford in this year’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The Deegan family is a modern-day action sports institution where fans can follow their popular YouTube vlog series, The Deegans, for an inside look at the two- and four-wheel racing worlds.
After years of preparation and planning for Haiden’s professional debut, the Deegans chose POD Active, knowing they’d selected the #1 moto brace on the market. POD’s action-sports-specific designs emulate the human body’s natural movements and inspire confidence through medically certified ligament protection and CE-certified impact defense. The new partnership will see Haiden use the K8 2.0 Carbon and K4 2.0 Impact Modified Knee Braces whenever he throws a leg over his Star Racing Yamaha YZ250F.
“These are the lightest, best-fitting knee braces I’ve ever worn,” said Haiden Deegan. “I can’t even tell I’m wearing braces when I have them on, which means no distractions on the track. Not to mention, they look super rad! I’m stoked to join Team POD and look forward to working with them for many years!”
“We’re beyond thrilled for Haiden to join the POD Team,” said POD Active’s Marketing Manager, Byron Marsh. “The Deegan name is synonymous with action sports. For Haiden and Brian to choose our products over other knee braces on the market is a humbling honor. As Haiden begins his pro career, we look forward to many years (and championships) together with the Deegan family.”
“It made sense for us to align with the guys at POD Active,” adds Brian Deegan, Haiden’s father. “We’re always looking for products that will improve his performance and provide protection that will allow Haiden to have a long and prosperous professional career. POD Knee Braces checked the boxes for us. We’re proud to join the POD Active family of athletes.”
