Honda introduces two new “beginner-friendly” dual sport models, the all-new XR150L and CRF300LS.
The XR150L is a brand-new motorcycle that Honda says is for “customers seeking an accessible, versatile and value-focused dual sport motorcycle, ready for everything from urban transportation to weekend adventures on mixed terrain.” It joins its big brother XR650L. The XR150L is powered by a 149cc air-cooled four-valve OHC four-stroke engine, and suspension is made up of a 31mm fork with 7.1 inches of travel and a single Pro-Link shock with 5.9 inches of travel. Seat height is 32.8 inches, holds 2.8 gallons of fuel, and weighs 282 pounds (curb). There are two color options—white and black.
The XR150L will be available in April with a $2971 MSRP.
The CRF300LS is essentially a standard CRF300L but with a two-inch lower seat height, 32.7 inches versus the standard’s 34.7 inches. The LS also has a slightly shorter wheelbase and approximately an inch-and-half less ground clearance. Wheel travel has also been reduced by approximately one inch at both ends (9.3 inches front and 9.0 inches rear).
ABS is standard equipment for the LS while still optional for the standard L model.
The LS comes in Swift Gray and will be available in May with a $5699 MSRP. (The non-ABS L model sells for $5399 and the ABS L model $5699.)CN
