Four-time 250cc and two-time WorldSBK Champion Max Biaggi will wrap up his eponymous Moto3 team at the end of the season after splitting from team manager Peter Oettl.
The team celebrated one of the biggest moments in its history last time out at Sepang, when John McPhee went from fifth to first to lead home Ayumu Sasaki for a Max racing Team 1-2.
“A wonderful double, after a very difficult period, in which it was necessary to make painful decisions,” Biaggi said. “Valencia will represent the last race in Moto3 of the Max Racing Team.
“I want to thank Sterilgarda Alimenti, which has always supported me, Husqvarna Motorcycles, KTM and all those who, in recent years, have contributed to achieving these results.
“My passion is inexhaustible and will always represent the engine of new goals with which to measure, already in 2023.”
Biaggi has not revealed any plans to continue managing a team in 2023. The Max Racing Team will be rebranded as Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP Moto3 for next season. CN
