Indian Motorcycle’s lineup of 2023 models have updates to the touchscreen displays, mufflers and braking systems on select models, while others get slipper clutches and new trims. Two highlights for the 2023 line are the new mid-range-trim FTR Sport (pictured below) and a limited-edition Indian Challenger Elite.
Replacing FTR S, the mid-range-trim FTR Sport sits just below the premium FTR R Carbon, but above the FTR and FTR Rally. The FTR Sport comes with a number plate, chin fairing and a seat cowl.

The FTR Sport and FTR R Carbon are upgraded with a four-inch round touchscreen display powered by Ride Command navigation system. The FTR R Carbon is decked out with carbon fiber-components, a premium seat, fully adjustable Öhlins gold front forks and a gold piggyback shock.
All four of the 2023 FTR models get a new sport exhaust muffler and an updated front-brake system. Indian Motorcycle also moved the speedometer up for easier viewing and added a new clutch for improved feel and performance. The FTRs have three ride modes (Sport, Standard, Rain), Lean Angle Sensitive Stability Control and ABS.

Indian Motorcycle formed a partnership with Gilles Tooling to launch co-branded accessories for the FTR models, which include adjustable rearsets, bar-end weights, oil caps and radiator caps. Adjustable levers are expected next year. Pricing for the FTR lineup start at $13,499.

2023 Indian FTR Sport Accessorized
Also announced is the limited-edition 2023 Indian Challenger Elite with Sapphire Blue Smoke paint and Black Smoke and Titanium Metallic Smoke accents. Last year’s 2022 Challenger Elite was limited to only 200 models, and, for 2023, only 150 will be made available worldwide.

The Challenger Elite (pictured below) comes with three selectable ride modes, electronically adjustable rear suspension preload from Fox, Smart Lean Technology, an adaptive LED headlight, LED driving lights, an adjustable flare windscreen, Select floorboards, heated grips, 6.5” Powerband Audio with Saddlebag Speakers, and a new Precision Cut five-spoke wheel. MSRP for the 2023 Indian Challenger Elite is listed at $35,999.

Additional Updates for 2023 Indian Motorcycle Models:
- Indian Motorcycle has introduced an array of new paint colors across the line.
- All Thunderstroke and PowerPlus models receive a new slipper clutch.
- Indian Springfield, Chieftain, Indian Challenger, Roadmaster and Indian Pursuit models get a redesigned LED headlight.
- PowerPlus and heavyweight Thunderstroke models now integrated buttons on the heated/cooled seats and include haptics, allowing riders to feel the button’s responsive when wearing gloves.
- Indian Pursuit with the Premium Package trim now offer Lower Fairing Storage compartments as standard.
- Models with the four-inch round touchscreen display can now tie their Ride Command account from the Indian Motorcycle app or website to their bike, allowing app and web-accessible features like vehicle health, vehicle locator and ride tracking.
