It’s been 30 years of racing and winning for Aprilia on the world stage, with that famous first triumph going to Alessandro Gramigni in the 1992 125cc World Championship.

Since then, world titles have flowed in the 125cc, 250cc and WorldSBK championships, and this year, Aleix Espargaro finally captured that long awaited first MotoGP win for the brand in Argentina this year.

And to celebrate all these milestones, Aprilia is bringing this stunning XTrenta superbike to the public.

Top of the pile. The RSV4 XTrenta is Aprilia’s numero uno when it comes to production superbikes.

Limited to 100 models worldwide and producing a stunning 230 hp, the XTrenta is Aprilia’s best possible production motorcycle and builds off the momentum started by the 10 model-only Aprilia RSV4 X of 2019.

The motor is now graced with a titanium/carbon fiber exhaust system from SC-Project, a new air filter comes from Aprilia’s MotoGP team suppliers Sprint Filter, with the water and oil radiators delivered by Taleo Tecnoracing.

Aprilia were the first to implement an inverted-style swingarm on a production motorcycle in 2021, which was fitted following lessons learned in MotoGP. And, the XTrenta has handed Aprilia another production first by having a lower wing fitted to the swingarm’s underside, beating the company who initially developed the technology to the punch in arch nemesis Ducati.

This, combined with winglets that are a close replica of the RS-GP machine Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales ride in MotoGP, has given the XTrenta a claimed aerodynamic load increase of 25 percent, while reducing drag by four percent.

The XTrenta comes with a production-first lower wing on the swingarm.

As for the brakes and wheels, the XTrenta gets Brembo’s WorldSBK-spec GP4-MS billet monobloc calipers and 330mm T-drive discs. The wheels are forged magnesium Marchesini M7R GENESI wrapped in Pirelli Diablo SBK tires and are claimed to save 4.4 pounds in unsprung weight.

As for the mission control, Magneti Marelli has been charged with the XTrenta’s electronics and you get super-cool JetPrime switches to use them with.

The Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta, wrapped in the same color scheme as Garmigni’s 125cc racer of 1992, comes with an MSRP of €50,000 excluding VAT (U.S. pricing is yet to be determined) and available exclusively online from September 6 by accessing the factoryworks.aprilia.com.
