Supercross Stars Mix It Up Early in Seattle

In this week’s Throwback Thursday, we go back 38 years to February of 1984 and the Wrangler Supercross Series doubleheader in Seattle’s Kingdome. This Kit Palmer photo captures an all-star cast early in Sunday’s race with David Bailey (No. 1) getting the jump on his factory Honda. Then a line of riders running side by side that includes Goat Breker (No. 19), Ron Lechien (No. 7) and Broc Glover (No. 3). Coming up fast are Rick Johnson (No. 17), Johnny O’Mara (No. 5) and Mark Barnett (No. 2). Johnson came through the pack to win that day’s main event.
