Mat Mladin has taken to Facebook to detail what he claims is years of domestic violence abuse.
The Australian seven-time AMA Superbike Champion was recently acquitted of child molestation charges in a NSW court, with his Facebook post detailing the tumultuous years after his racing career ended that involved excessive drinking and drug taking, and being the subject of numerous stalking, property break and enters, emotional and physical abuse by an unnamed female.
“Being charged with what I was, thrown in jail and then living the past two and a half years in silence waiting for my turn to speak, was very hard,” Mladin said via his Facebook page. “But as I did in my racing days, I have and am taking all the positive things that have and are coming out of this tumultuous time in my life and have become smarter and better from the experience.
“We could hold onto the negatives and allow these perpetrators of DV (domestic violence) to win and allow them to still control our lives indirectly but I won’t, never. I thank my abuser for the experience I have gained at the hands of her abuse. Mine and my daughter’s lives will be that much richer because of it.”
Mladin goes on to say the woman at the center of the domestic violence abuse was not his ex-wife, as many have assumed.
“I wanted to clear something up as the lovely person who looks after this FB page has told me that some people may be a little confused and may be thinking that all of this is about by my X wife (sic). It is not,” Mladin wrote. “Absolutely couldn’t be further from the truth. We were together for nearly twenty years. My X wife and I are still good friends. We share our girls 50/50 and have done from the first day of our separation.”

Mat Mladin Innocent of Child Molestation Charges
Seven-time AMA Superbike Champion, Mat Mladin, has been cleared of four counts of child molestation brought on him in a 2020 case.
The Australian, who consistently denied the allegations, was held in custody on March 13, 2020, later released on $50,000 AUD bail ($34,500), and surrendered his passport.
A Facebook post on the Mat Mladin – Mladin Racing page was made by Mladin, who claimed victory in the three-week trial. His words are copied and pasted below.
“NOT GUILTY”
“This is what I have said from day one and after two and a half years of being put through the ringer, it was nice to finally have my time in Court and hear the jury say those same words: “Not guilty!” after record short deliberations. It took them just a few hours after an almost three week trial.
Anyone who truly knows me, knew all along.
I was SET UP.
And the evidence proved just this.
The police case against me, relied on witnesses who lied, deceived and purposely hid from police their true agendas. There were influential family members working in the background, conspiring to bring out certain outcomes. And I was the fall guy!
Insane!!!
The main family member conspiring in the background, who then tried to get into the girls’ heads, brought about what she alleged to be the first “disclosure” on the basis of something that she was told by … wait for it …
A CLAIRVOYANT!
And she went out of her way to make sure that Police didn’t find out and lied about it all in Court giving her evidence! It’s not smart to lie in court when the defense has all the proof of such lies. Not words spoken, but texts written and voice mails left.
You could not make this shit up! Things then continued to snowball from there, got out of control, and then others, with their own motives, got on the bandwagon and went to town on me.”
It’s over and I have my life back. My beautiful daughters Jess and Em are looking forward to many things that have been put on hold this past couple of years.
Thank you to the people that put their hand up to support me. It will never be forgotten.
Mat ”
