Inaugural Sprint Enduro World Championship Announced
Cycle News Staff | July 6, 2022
The first annual Sprint Enduro World Championship comes to Rivers Edge Outdoors in Sandy Level, Virginia, July 9-10. Promoted by Trail Pros, the same people who host the U.S. Sprint Enduro Series, the Sprint Enduro World Championship is expected to be the inaugural of what will become an annual event.
FMF/KTM’s Kailub Russell has come out of retirement to race the Sprint Enduro World Championship and Team USA’s full ISDE Team will be there, as well, participating in a four-day ISDE Camp held in conjunction with the race that U.S. ISDE Team Manager Antti Kallonen has each year to prepare his team.
The team will work on walking and picking out lines, strategy, changing tires and racing on Eco tires.
In addition to American riders, there are riders confirmed for the event from Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Chile.
The Sprint Enduro World Championship is an invitational event, and there are only 350 spots available, including classes for Micro/Youth and even Vintage. Here’s how you can get in on the action!
