Cycle News Staff | July 20, 2022
Chad Reed is the latest rider to announce his participation in the three-race World Supercross Championship set to take place this fall. The 40-year-old Reed, who retired from professional racing in 2021, will ride as a member of the recently announced MDK Motorsports Team. Reed will compete in the 450cc class, presumably on a KTM.
This coincides with the announcement that round two of the series will take place in Melbourne, Australia, October 21-22, 2022. The opening round will take place in Wales on October 8. The third round has not been confirmed.
In other WSX news, the Honda Genuine Honda Racing Team says it will field Max Anstie and Australian Wilson Todd. Both will compete in the 250cc class. CN
