Scholtz, the 2017 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 Champion, and a former South African SuperGP National Champion had his career-best SBK season in 2021 with two premier class wins and 16 total podium finishes, earning second in the final MotoAmerica Superbike Championship points standings when the series wrapped up at Barber Motorsports Park last September.
Scholtz is ready to build on his momentum from last season and contend for the 2022 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship title while wearing the RPHA 1N, HJCS brand-new premium FIM-homologated race helmet that is scheduled for release in the global market this spring.
“I’m very excited to be joining the HJC family,” Scholtz says. “My first helmet was an HJC when was 7 years old, and now am honored to be representing the brand years later in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.
Follow along with Scholtz and his quest for the 2022 Superbike crown as the series kicks off at the MotoAmerica season opener this weekend in Austin, Texas.
