The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a staple in the company’s 100-plus-year history, having sold over three million bikes in that time.
The Classic 350 is RE’s greatest hit, and for 2022 it’s got a ground-up rework that takes styling cues from the original G2 450 Bullet of 1948.
Post-war styling is the name of the game, delivering that classic British single look championed by long gone bikes like the Matchless G80 and the Velocette Mac 350.
The Classic is powered by the same 349 cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke we tested in the Meteor 350 last year, but it sits in a new chassis with a revised 41 mm front suspension hat offers 51 inches of suspension travel via the 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels wrapped in CEAT Zoom Plus tires.
At the rear sits old-school twin shocks with six-step adjustable preload and the North American models will come standard with a removable passenger seat, grab handle, and footpeg set-up, while the rider’s seat height is relatively small 31.7 inches.
The 2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is available in nine different styles and colorways. The Dark Stealth Black and Dark Gunmetal Grey models, identifiable by the dark color schemes and 10-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tires, are available for $4599. The Signals models are inspired by Royal Enfield’s association with the Indian armed forces and commemorate 65 years of working with the Indian army. Signals Desert Sand and Signals Marsh Grey feature 1950’s military stylized graphics, and are available for $4599.
Later this year, Royal Enfield will release the Halcyon collection, styled after the original 1950’s British roadsters. Halcyon Forest Green, Halcyon Black, and Halcyon Blue will be available for $4499. The Chrome Red and Chrome Brown models, featuring a mirror finish and special badging, will also be arriving later in 2022 and will be available for $4699.
