KTM has unleashed a new variant on the 890 Duke range labeled the Duke GP. Now before you get all excited and proclaim KTM is back to making fully faired sport bikes as the name “GP” might suggest, you might want to calm down.
The Duke GP is mainly a fancy paint job that pays homage to the Red Bull KTM MotoGP/Tech3 MotoGP teams and runs the same LC8c parallel twin-cylinder motor and chassis as the 890 Duke R, along with the usual staples of Cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS, a full-color TFT display and LED lighting.
The 890 Duke GP does get a funky orange single seat unit to help differentiate it further from the 890 Duke R. Expect to see the bike on dealer floors by April this year, with MSRP still to be confirmed. CN
