BMW Motorrad North America has released its 2022 collections of riding gear.
Here are the highlights from the vast new selection, starting with a video that covers each new collection:
The Plugged to Life range includes pieces that are built with practical rider protection features but have polished lines to look good when off the bike. The line includes the Barcelona GTX suit, which is worn over street clothing and it is both watertight and breathable thanks to three layers of Gore-Tex Pro material.
The new sporty-style GS Karakum GTX suit has a snugger fit and includes three layers for riding in all weather conditions.
The Never Stop Challenging collection are for track and canyon riding, and include the M Pro Race Comp leathers which comes in a classic BMW colorway and matching gloves. The tight-fitting one-piece suit is made from 100 % cowhide Nappa leather and protectors are at the shoulders, back, elbows, hips and knees. A spoiler optimizes aerodynamics and stretch inserts ensure freedom of movement. In addition, the suit is prepared for the use of an upper body airbag.

The Spirit of GS gear line has the traditional-BMW flavor with contemporary tweaks. These include the GS Rally GTX suit (for the first time also for women) and the GS Rally AIR suit, which is made for riding in warmer weather.

The Soulfuel range is the retro-racer-styled line, with items like the Schwabing jacket for men and women and the new Moabit and Kreuzberg jeans being the highlights.
(Below, clockwise from upper left) The Dahlem jacket is made of high-quality cowhide and is partially perforated for better ventilation. The PureXcursion jacket is made from a cotton-polyamide blend fabric with a wax finish. The Club Leather jacket, pictured here in black and red, now has a new design and a new name, the Schwabing. It is made of high-quality cowhide and has NP Flex protectors at shoulders and elbows. The Sendling jacket is a quilted overshirt with a lightweight and fashionable look. The SummerRide overshirt jacket is made of Cordura denim and has a front zip that is concealed by a press stud strip.
The Ride and Share line are part of BMW’s new “Make Life a Ride” campaign, and has the new Furka leather two-piece (below left), which is a modern take of BMW’s classic Atlantis suit. The Charlottenburg leather two-piece suit (below right), in the Soulfuel line, takes design cues from a classic cruiser look.
(Below, L to R) The Kreuzberg jeans are made of Selvedge Cordura denim in comfortable fit.
The Moabit jeans are made of elastic Cordura denim in a slim, fashionable fit. The lightweight PureRider trousers have NP Flex protectors on the knees and hips and have seven outer pockets and one inner pocket.
(Below, L to R) The M Pro Race Comp boots are designed riding on the track.
The Pro Race GTX boots have Gore-Tex membranes making them wind- and watertight.
The KnitRace sneakers include breathable 3D knitting technology with level 1 protection in shoe certification.
(Below, L to R) The Pankow boots made of 100 % cowhide are characterized by their high functionality and contrasting copper-colored details such as buckles and zips. A long zip over the calf and heel makes it easy to put the boot on and off. The Sonora GTX boots are modern-styled, wind- and watertight high-tech touring boots with Gore Surround technology. The well-ventilated Pillon AIR summer boots have completely new interior and exterior materials.
(Above, clockwise from upper left) The M Pro Race Comp high-performance gloves are designed for use on the racetrack. The Pro Race gloves have been upgraded. The newly developed wind- and watertight Silvretta GTX winter gloves provide the best possible insulation from the cold and wet. The GS Rallye gloves are available in night blue and khaki, matching the colors of the GS Rallye GTX suit, and also in black. The watertight Furka GTX leather gloves match the new Furka leather suit.
