Throwback Thursday: Duhamel Gets Willow Springs Win
In this week’s Throwback we dial back the clock to April of 1998 and the AMA Superbike race at Willow Springs Raceway. A big crowd showed up to the Mojave Desert that day to see Miguel Duhamel take victory on his factory Honda RC45. This photo shows Duhamel leading a group of riders that includes Australians Anthony Gobert (No. 95) and Mat Mladin (No. 66). This was a breakthrough win of sorts for Duhamel. It was the start of a four-race winning streak in the AMA Superbike Series.
