Rounds four and five of the Kicker AMA Arenacross Championship reached its halfway point at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, January 21-22, with defending champion Kyle Peters winning everything in sight. Peters, on the Phoenix Racing Honda, won all four main events over the two days.

Peters’ first win came Friday night in the 250cc Pro main. He passed fast starter Jake Bork after the first lap and never looked back, eventually taking the checkered flag nearly five seconds ahead of fellow Honda rider Heath Harrison.
Harrison started off the race in seventh but slowly worked his way forward, passing Kyle Bitterman for second on the fourth lap. Harrison would hold the position the rest of the way, pretty much matching Peters lap times to the finish.
Kawasaki rider Josh Cartwright, who started the race in fifth, took third approximately four seconds behind Harrison.
Honda rider Lance Kobusch and KTM pilot Henry Miller rounded out the top five.
Bitterman ended up sixth and early leader Bork dropped out after four laps.
Peters dominated the 450 Pro main with a wire-to-wire win, taking the checkers seven-plus seconds ahead of Harrison.
At times, Harrison had his hands full with both Kobusch and Cartwright but eventually took the checkers three seconds ahead of Cartwright and another two seconds ahead of Kobusch.
Miller rounded out the top five another four seconds behind Kobusch.
Bitterman ended up a distant sixth after going down on the first lap.
They were back at it again Saturday night, but nothing changed at the top of the leaderboard, with Peters winning both the 250 and 450 Pro main events.
Peters and Miller ran 1-2 the whole way in the 250 Pro main, with Peters crossing the finish line a comfortable 4.2 seconds ahead of the KTM rider, Miller.
Kobusch, however, had an eventful race. The Texan started off in eighth and spent the rest of the race putting on a clinic on how to pass on a tight course. With one lap to go, Kobusch was running fourth but put the move on Cartwright to snatch the last spot on the podium.
Cartwright had to settle for fourth, followed by Harrison and Bitterman, the last rider to finish on the lead lap.
The 450 Pro main was a thriller. Bitterman was the early leader but went down on the second lap, collecting Peters and Cartwright. Bitterman called it a night right there, while Peters got up in ninth and Cartwright 14th.
Kobusch inherited the lead but crashed on the sixth lap, handing the lead to Miller.
Two laps later, Peters was on Miller’s rear fender and made the pass for the lead. Peters went on to take the win, 4.3 seconds ahead of Miller’s KTM.
Harrison finished a distant third, while KTM rider Nate Mason took fourth and GasGas rider Wristin Grigg fifth.
Brendan Sipple was sixth and Cartwright seventh.
Kobusch ended up 10th, a lap down.
Peters is cruising along in the points race. The defending champ enjoys a 54-point lead over Kobusch, and Harrison is another 16 points back in third. Bitterman is fourth, 22 points behind Harrison, and Miller, in fifth, is 49 points behind Bitterman. CN
