The Charlotte Half-Mile, the final race on the 2021 American Flat Track schedule, will decide this year’s 2021 AFT SuperTwins Champion. Jared Mees lead defending champ Briar Bauman by just four points. Mees also heads Bauman in the wins department, seven to three.
Brandon Robinson is currently a distant third in the championship, holding a slim nine-point advantage over Jarod Vanderkooi.
JD Beach has a lock on fifth in the championship and still has a mathematical chance of catching Vanderkooi.
The Singles-class Championship is also on the line, but defending champ Dallas Daniels has a firm gip on the number-one plate again. He leads runner-up Max Whale by 20 and with just 25 points up for grabs, it’s not likely we will see a new champ emerge from Charlotte, but stranger things have happened.
Morgan Mischler has all but locked up third in the championship. Only one rider, Michael Rush, can mathematically catch him. CN
