Pod K4 V2.0 AC9 LE Knee Brace
Cycle News Staff | August 20, 2021
Pod Active has collaborated with team rider Adam Cianciarulo (AC9) to release a limited-edition of the K4 V2.0 knee brace.
Covered with vibrant pops of color and quirky graphics, the K4 AC9 LE brace draws inspiration from the pop-punk music scene of the late ’90s and early 2000s. The inner liner of the knee brace is designed to stay in place and not migrate while you ride. It is certified as a medical device to help prevent leg and knee injuries.
Inspired by the human body, Pod’s patented Human Motion technology uses the power of Synthetic Ligaments engineered from Vectran Fibers (5X stronger than steel) to provide progressive, multidirectional motion control. The Pod Hinge Housing provides smooth contact surface against the knee, reducing abrasion and adding to its comfort. Impact Modified Lightweight Composite frames anchor to the hinges for optimal load transfer away from the knee joint and it is CE impact tested certified. Youth sizes are available.
The impact guards are removable to convert the brace for multi-sport use and the adaptive cuffs can conform to various leg shapes, while adapting to muscle movement. They are designed to accommodate muscle motion and disperse load reducing the risk of skeletal fractures.
