Cycle City Promotions marked its 25th anniversary of Kicker Arenacross by returning to the very site where it all began—Gallup, New Mexico—and hosting two nights of Arenacross racing in front of sold-out crowds at the Red Rock Park Arena, July 16-17.
“The Red Rock Park Arena and Gallup is very special to us,” Tod Hammock, Cycle City Promotions owner, said. “We began our arenacross run here 25 years ago and to celebrate that this weekend in front of a packed stadium was very special.”
No one celebrated harder than GasGas rider Chris Blose who won everything in sight. He topped both 250cc and 450cc Pro main events both nights. It was also a super successful return to racing for Blose who got injured at the Atlanta 3 Monster Energy AMA Supercross back in April.
“I had an awesome time at the Gallup race,” Blose said, “Such a cool venue and a very loud sold-out crowd, so my first race back from injury was pretty cool.”
Yamaha rider Ryan Breece settled for second place both nights, while Mathew Breman (KTM) and Addison Emory (Yamaha) traded third-place finishes in both classes.
