The 2021 BSB season will now start on Friday, June 25 at Oulton Park, around a month later than previously planned. The revision will potentially enable more spectators to attend its 25th anniversary season.

This is an announcement from BSB on March 15, 2021…
After talks with the UK Government, series promoter and organizer MSVR has taken the decision that, with no further information available around the capacity limits that apply to non-seated venues during Step 3 of the Government’s Roadmap plan, and due to the need to offer certainty to fans, series partners and stakeholders, the calendar has been updated and all events will now take place beyond June 21, the date which provisionally marks the easing of spectator restrictions at large elite sporting events.

The other events due to take place prior to June 21, at Thruxton and Snetterton respectively, have also been rescheduled. The Hampshire circuit now hosts the fourth round July 30 to August 1 and the Norfolk venue moves to September 3-5. Meanwhile the first visit to Donington Park and the second visit to Oulton Park will both move back a week from the previous schedule, taking place August 13-15 and September 24-26, respectively.
The official test program will now begin at Silverstone (April 28-29), with the original opening test of the season at Donington Park switching to June 8. Due to the opening two tests taking place under Step 2 of the Government roadmap, these will be held behind closed doors, with a limited number of fans expected to be welcomed back for the final two tests ahead of the 2021 season opener.
Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “Since the government’s roadmap was published in late February, we have been in constant contact with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to understand its implications for spectator attendances. Unfortunately, the DCMS is still not in a position to confirm what capacities will apply prior to June 21.
“With the start of the season rapidly approaching, and to offer the best possible chance of having all our fans back trackside, we have made decisive changes to the calendar to deliver the best opportunity for this to happen as we look ahead positively to our 25th Anniversary year.”

The 2021 British Superbike Championship provisional calendar has been announced:

The following news was posted on britishsuperbike.com…
The 2021 calendar will follow a new format, with a schedule of UK tests ahead of a later start to the season, which launches at Oulton Park in Cheshire for the first time in championship history.
The series then returns to Thruxton after an absence on the 2020 lineup, before heading to Norfolk for the annual visit to Snetterton.
The third event of the season will be the trip north of the border to Knockhill, as the Scottish circuit returns to the 2021 schedule, before the summer event at Brands Hatch on the first visit to the Grand Prix circuit.
The championship then visits Donington Park for the first of its two rounds, with the National layout hosting the opening visit to the circuit, before moving on to the annual ‘Party in the Park’ as BSB returns to Cadwell Park for their showcase event of the season.
There is then a small break in the calendar at the end of August before the next event at Silverstone, as the National circuit gets set for the return of Superbike action ahead of the second visit to Oulton Park.
The penultimate round will be on the Donington Park GP circuit before the season reaches its traditional finale on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in October.
