Press Release | December 3, 2020
The Winter Olympics event for 2020 took place at Gatorback Cycle Park, a facility that’s housed the championship for over two decades. Transpiring alongside the Thanksgiving Holiday, athletes from around the globe traveled to Northern Florida to compete at the prominent venue.
This is a press release from Dunlop Tires…
Spanning over twenty years, Dunlop has continued to provide support for this amateur national. As with seasons’ past, the MX33 was the tire selected to clench 84 titles throughout the Supercross and Motocross sectors of the event.
Beginning the week on the Supercross circuit, forty-two championships were captured by competitors aboard the Dunlop brand. Noteworthy performances from members of Team Dunlop Elite include Casey Cochran amassing four victories throughout both Supermini and Mini Sr. categorizations, alongside Drew Adams, who attained two titles in both 85cc (9-11) divisions. Meanwhile, Gage Linville acquired three overall wins among Intermediate and Schoolboy classification, while Levi Kitchen garnered three championships as well, in both “A” and Pro Sport outings.
Once the Supercross portion of the event was completed, athletes proceeded to enter into the motocross segment of the week’s festivities. While here, another 42 championships were accumulated by riders running Dunlop tires. With Cochran and Adams, again, victorious in this particular category, Team Dunlop Elite riders Haiden Deegan (Supermini One and Two), alongside Eidan Steinbrecher (51cc 4-8 Limited), as well as Seth Dennis (85cc 9-11), would showcase award-winning performances. Nick Romano accrued three outright gold medals amid Intermediate competition, while the aforementioned Levi Kitchen was honored as recipient of the Dunlop Silver Tire Award, an accolade granted to the competitor with the most points, participating in both Pro Sport and “A” classes.
“It was a great week with great weather and awesome racing,” said Rob Fox, Amateur Motocross Support Manager. “The MX33 was the tire to have this week, and I want to thank all the champions for choosing Dunlop.”
