A Day In The Dirt Invades Glen Helen

Updated December 2, 2020:
The 23rd Red Bull Day in the Dirt descended upon Glen Helen Raceway over the Thanksgiving holiday, November 27-29, and as usual, the facility was packed with racers, families and motorcycle-racing fans in general.
Gates opened Friday for the Happy Hour Practice Session. A $25 fee was collected for those who wanted to participate, with all proceeds benefitting the Steve McQueen Fund for Boys Republic. Two races were held that day, including the So Cal Reunion Race and the XR100 World Championship.
Racing began in earnest on Saturday morning with the Vintage Grand Prix, and concluded seeming a hundred races later with the event’s premier event, the Coup De Grace Survival Race on Sunday afternoon. RJ Wageman came away with the win.
Update Oct 14, 2020:
Red Bull Day in the Dirt is scheduled for November 27-29, 2020 at Glen Helen Raceway.
What started as a one day event in 1998 has turned into what some people call the “MX Woodstock.” It’s a gathering of family and friends and what they love most – dirt bikes. It not only attracts some of the fastest racers in the world and the who’s who of the moto industry, but also riders from the Hollywood stunt community and moto fanatics worldwide.
