Australian MotoGP legend Casey Stoner has revealed to Australian breakfast television show Today his battle with chronic fatigue syndrome, otherwise known as MECFS.
Stoner, a two-time MotoGP World Champion in 2007 and 2011, has been battling the disease since 2018 and is now helping to raise funds for a research center for a cure in Australia.
“Currently, we have no cure,” Stoner said from his home in Queensland, Australia. “We don’t have enough information on things that can help. If we have more specialists and more knowledge in it (MECFS), and people can see doctors and maybe get a bit of help get some understanding from people.”
