Nightmare Extreme Enduro Results
Press Release | October 13, 2020
It is rather a challenge to ride a night hard enduro in dry conditions, but Hurricane Delta left a particularly wet and gloomy path in its wake, just in time for the October 10 SRT SEER Racing Nightmare Extreme Enduro at Hale Mountain in Alabama.
The grim looking weather forecast had many racers deciding to stay at home. But 35 brave racers did show up and, as expected, were certainly put to the test. During the rainy day leading up to the race, the SEER team put a lot of effort into re-routing and adjusting the sections for the anticipated floods. At precisely 6 p.m., the race kicked-off with a Le Mans-style start. The rain slowed down at the beginning of the race but came back in full force in the second hour.
SRT SEER series overall leaders Nick Fahringer and Quinn Wentzel delivered a spectacular battle. After two hours and 45 minutes, the white flag came out with Sherco’s Fahringer securing the overall win.
The SRT SEER series will finish their season at the same race location of the Tennessee Knock-Out race at the Trails Training Center, November 14.
