The following is a press release from Glen Helen…
Las Vegas, NV (Aug. 26, 2020) – Best In The Desert has announced that the 2020 Jagged X National Desert Cup Presented by Quantum Motorsports will now be held at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California on September 25-27, 2020.
The race’s move from Laughlin, Nevada came after much deliberation and conversation with Las Vegas Events and the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce. Due to COVID-19 challenges, it was decided that the 2020 Jagged X National Desert Cup Presented by Quantum Motorsports should be held elsewhere.
“The great relationship that we have with our partners at Laughlin Events made this a very difficult decision. However, we felt this was our best decision based on the information available. At the end of the day, it is always about our racers and making sure we give them the best outcome possible,” said Best In The Desert co-owner Bryan Folks.
Best In The Desert is excited to stage a race at the Glen Helen Raceway for the first time. The venue’s owner, Bud Feldkamp, and head of operations, Lori Wilson, are great supporters of Best In The Desert and are confident they will meet and exceed race standards.
Daryl Folks, co-owner of Best In The Desert, is enthusiastic about the new partnership, saying, “We are delighted to finally have the opportunity to work with Bud Feldkamp and have our racers play in his playground. He was a good friend to our father, a good friend to our family, and a great supporter of Best In The Desert. We hope this is the beginning of a great relationship between Best In The Desert and Glen Helen Raceway.”
The 2020 Jagged X National Desert Cup Presented by Quantum Motorsports will be a short course rally-format race open to UTVs, motorcycles, and quads held at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California on September 25-27, 2020.
Race results will add points to the year-end Best In The Desert Series Class Championships and the all-new Adventure Series which started with the recent Silver State 300 and includes the rest of this year’s races.
Announcements regarding race schedule, COVID-19 protocol, and lodging to follow.
