Scotts Valley, CA (Aug 17, 2020) – The Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s “Crossroads” was filled with hundreds of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Motorcycle diehard spectators setting the stage for the highly anticipated first stop of the 2020 Bell Brawl.
Bell Powersports rider, Jeff Flaherty (@CBearStunts) aggressively drifted and wheelied his Harley-Davidson Road Glide Bagger taking top honors in Sturgis, South Dakota. Flaherty’s competition run will go on record as being one of the most entertaining Bell Brawl runs witnessed to date, wowing judges and competitors alike.
Traveling all the way from the east coast, Bell team rider and Connecticut native, Gabe Canestri (@Reckless203) finished in second with his full-throttle Harley- Davidson Road Glide Bagger riding. Rounding out the podium, Joey Robinson (@Joey55._) of San Diego, California, took the third-place position with his extremely technical riding style.
“The level of riding we witnessed today was simply mind blowing.” Brett Conley, Bell brand marketing manager “Every single one of these guys laid down runs that were well beyond what we’ve previously seen from them. To see the skills all going to the next level as a group elevating the sport, is nothing short of awe inspiring.”
“Due to the current pandemic, this year has by far been the most interesting for our Bell Brawl competition series,” stated Max Kuszaj of Ride and Destroy. “The crowd at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip was the largest we have seen to date at the venue, and the riders more than delivered putting on the best Bell Brawl competition we have seen in four years.”
Now in its fourth year, The “Bell Brawl” is a first of its kind V-Twin specific motorcycle stunt contest catering to the huge youth movement of Harley- Davidson stunt riding. The event is an invite only competition, inviting riders who have been the driving force in the increasingly popular V-Twin motorcycle stunting demographic. A judging panel of motorcycle industry icons including X-Games FMX medalist Lance Coury, “Sitdown Steve” Jones, and Bell Brawl Veteran stunt rider, Brendan Foley were in attendance to score these competitive riders.
