Lima Half-Mile is postponed
The Lima Half-Mile track’s website and social-media channels announced that the local county health department did not clear them to hold the AFT event, so the race is postponed.
Here is the announcement from Lima Half-Mile venue…
Out of an abundance of caution for our beloved guests and flat track family, we regretfully announce that we must postpone our Lima Half-Mile doubleheader event on July 31 and August 1, 2020. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations in the areas surrounding Allen County Fairgrounds, we were not cleared by the county health department to hold the event at this time.
We are working closely with American Flat Track, Allen County Fairgrounds and the local health officials to secure a date that will provide the best racing experience for our fans, and we look forward to making that announcement very soon!
Anyone who has placed an order for tickets to Friday, July 31 has not been charged and will not be charged. If you hold an advance Saturday (June 27 or August 1) ticket, please bear with us as we work through the holiday weekend to contact each ticket-holder individually. Each ticket-holder will have the option to either receive a refund, or retain their tickets for the rescheduled Lima Half-Mile event at a date to be announced soon. If you have not received a call by July 9, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
We hope everyone has a great Fourth of July weekend and we look forward to seeing you all at the rescheduled date. Stay tuned to our website and social channels for the latest information!
Sincerely,
Nichole & Jared Mees
